Elizabeth Mansfield is one of the pseudonyms for the late Paula Schwartz. Paula wrote over 30 Regency Romance novels under the name Elizabeth Mansfield. She wrote historical fiction set in America during colonial times under the pen name(s) Paula Jonas and Paula Reid. She wrote a novel based in the 19th and early 20th centuries about an Eastern European Jewish family under the name Paula Riebel.
She also wrote dramatic works, short stories, essays and articles, including musicals based on the novels of Jane Austen, in separate collaborations with composer Neil Moyer and composer Howard Levitzky, one-act plays, full plays and other musicals for children and adults.
